OK your squirrel (red) weighs 45 grams?
You have Clavamox which is Amoxi/Clav. 875 mg. correct?
If you answer these questions myself or someone else will dose this for you.
We dose by weight and I don't want to have the wrong information, so please

Yes both are correct.

I gave him a small dose (.01cc) of Bactrim this morning and tonight as I didn't want to wait and read online that was preferred over amox? Also read that amox was not good for squirrels? I new to this thing so i am learning. His "clicking" has gotten quieter since last night and no open mouth breathing yet.

Should I stick with Bactrim or switch to the one you mention?

This is the update so far:

sammy is 1.6 oz so 45(ish) grams

Also his left eye was shut again today for brief time. (His right one was opened normally while left was shut). However by the time I came back to him with a warm wet paper towel to wipe it (not crusty) it was opened again and looked fine. This is the same eye I noticed having difficulty before I realized it was pneumonia. Is that a symptom of pneumonia?

I will send you dosing via pm.
Take a cotton ball with warm water if this happens again with his eye.
Paper towels are too abrasive and may scratch his eye.
DO YOU HAVE AMOXI/CLAV. 875mg.
I want to dose that for your squirrel instead of Bactrim.

ALWAYS GIVE PROBIOTICS 2 HOURS PRIOR OR AFTER DOSING ANY ANTIBIOTIC.

Did you start him on the Amoxicillin/Clavulinic antibiotic?

Sammy has been on the Amoxi/Clav AB since yesterday morning. This morning he is bouncing off the walls (more like my shoulders) and the clicking is so faint that it is pretty much non existent. Even with my ear up to him you can only hear the clicking if he is excited or breathing fast and it's VERY VERY faint even then!! I am so thankful to all those who helped save our Sammy. I was a wreck on Saturday thinking we might lose him....
