Default How old and what kind of pinky have I found? Whiskers noted!

I took in a baby that was found alone on a sidewalk. This is day 3 and he's eating great, urinatinf, pooping. I need to weight him today but he was 12 grams yesterday. Eyes closed. His ears look like they popped it a bit since yesterday and I noticed tiny whiskers this morning!! I'm madly in love. I'm trying to figure out age and type of squirrel. He has claws and whiskers and little ears but is so tiny and weighs such a small amount. I'm in Florida if that helps at all

    Thank you!

Little boy is a grey squirrel. He's definitely not a flyer and those are the 2 predominant types here. Little pinky boy needs a name.

I see a little umbilical stump so he's less than 10 days old. I would say maybe 5-7 days old.

  6. Serious fuzzy thank you's to HRT4SQRLS from:

I could've sworn I saw his eye slit open a tiny bit but then close immediately. So cute! Is .5-.6 cc every 2 hours correct for his age and weight?

    Thank you!!

I love both names. I have a girl squirrel named Frances (thought it was a boy and wanted to call him Frank someday ) But I also love the name Dominic (Dom for short) and Elliot (E or Eli for short).

He's so TINY and what a sweetie!

Yes, for 12 g, 0.5-.084 is correct, every 2 hours.
