I found them there at whole foods too. I have given them to my boy and he likes them well
From the research I have done i believe that they are the same ones the board members have spoke of. I offer
To him every few weeks
These magenta-colored, white-flesh sweet potatoes are a staple of the diet I feed my squirrels. They have less sugar than the orange yams or regular sweet potatoes, and from what I've read more nutrients. Squirrels LOVE them raw. In my area they are sold in both Korean vegetable markets and Spanish markets. The Spanish markets call them "batata" or "yama" and they are 79c per pound. The Korean markets and the frou-frou places like Whole Foods call them Japanese or Korean Yam, and they are sometimes $2.29 a pound! You know where I shop.
BTW if you bake one and add a little salt or butter they are DELISH.

I found them at the Spanish market. And yes a way better price.
