    Default Gummy eye

    Pip, an approximately 6 week old grey squirrel, rescued 4 nights ago, has a gummy eye today. He is otherwise normal: eating, breathing, sleeping well. When he's been awake today, I tried to use a cloth with warm water on the eye to help it open. After he's awake a bit, it does open, but it's clearly itchy & bothersome to him. I'd love to hear of any remedies to try!

    In the future a sterile saline solution (even whats used for contacts) can help flush the eye.
