    Which is better for them to have, roasted or raw sunflower seeds?

    Neither.

    Sunflower seeds have a pretty bad calcium to phosphorus ratio and really are not a good food for squirrels other than a few for an occasional snack. They LOVE them though - much like us, they prefer the bad stuff!
