Yes they need tons of fleece and things to keep them busy.
They love little fleece pouches to hide in and cubes and and and......

Please make sure on that cage that he cannot get out where the pan
slides in. I have seen this cage, and if this is the one I saw, there is a gap if
the pan is a little "out" where a little red could easily escape.

Believe me, I've had many reds, and one lived here loose, and they can
get into the tiniest little places you wouldn't begin to imagine.
They can also crawl under doors, quite easily as a matter of fact, so
anything you can think of...........secure somehow.

Thank you for the heads up on that one that will be the first thing fixed. I'm thankful that my hubby is a carpenter and our landlord is a childhood friend of his and had my hunny renovate all 6 of his rental homes and we live in one of them so he literally knows this house inside and out.

Boy ever day my lil Alvin is getting more and more jumpy. Like this morning after my hubby left I start feeding him and guess he forgot something cause he comes back in and as soon as the door closed and he didn't close it hard at all Alvin jumps off my lap lands halfway across the room and jumping around looking at the door then me then the door and then me and leaps again back on my leg and onto the nipple and continues feeding. Now all this happened before I could even put the formula down and halfway stand up he is just omg so so fast. And all I keep thinking about is back 18 yrs ago when I had chip my grey squirrel (God I still miss him ever Easter without fail I think of him and that damn potato peel) anyway back then I thought he was fast how he'd jump from my recliner to my hubby recliner then to the floor to jump on the 2 dogs we had and back to my shoulder and there he stayed all day everything I did he was on my shoulder till my hubby came home from work and onto his shoulder he'd jump and stay till bed. Anyway sorry get rambling when I start talking about him so point is chip looks like lack of a better comparison like he was on a morphine drip compared to my lil Alvin.I just don't see why he'd start being so jumpy right now 3 of the kids are in Mississippi with their father and my 13 yr old daughter isn't loud and doesn't mess with him at all and I have no other animals so why he's getting jumpy is a mystery to me unless that's a new stage in his development.

I think people give them an unlimited supply. With Henry's it would be one, at most two, but other blocks have lower nutrient content, so I think most people just keep them in the cage all the time, especially because they don't mold.

You really on;y need the Henry's, but many people will do maybe one Henry's a day in combination with lesser blocks to save money. So maybe you can just do that until they're gone, or give the lesser ones occasionally, or whatever you feel like. It's not really going to cause any harm.

I've looked and looked I can't find Kensi's house anyway it just has sewn ramps...a climbing wall (a fleece pad tied to the inside of the cage) a pouch...just make a fleece pouch and with ties and tie to the top of the cage I'll get Chickenlegs to post a pic for ya
