So cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love when our men share our passion!~
Your Alvin is a real cutie-puhtootie (or however that is spelled). I have 3 Reds that visit me, but I can only admire them from a few feet away-sigh. Lucky, lucky you for getting to cuddle one.
There is a cavy site that might be of use to you as they have all sorts of ideas for making accessories from Fleece to include ramp covers. They even have instructions for making a liner if you are interested with or without a pad. (Many people have good luck using U-Haul pads.) They have information on how to prepare the Fleece so it wicks properly, too. Link follows:

(In addition to the "Fleece" category, the "About Cages" category may be helpful.)
I hope you had a happy, happy birthday on the 23rd. My guess is Alvin is the one who got all the gifts, though!
What a gorgeous guy (hubby too!)
thank you I am so very blessed to have these 2 handsome guys a part of my life and also the other 2 handsome lil men who aren't in the pics yet my 2 sons who are currently with their dad for the summer. They are 7 and 6 I will have pics of them as well in September when they come hom
That last pic is truly an "art shot", know what I mean? The whole look of it -- I can see it hanging in some gallery in Soho, NYC. Just get someone to Photoshop the light fixture out of your handsome guy's head, and you have a photography show winner there.

The Peace of Wild Things
BY WENDELL BERRY
When despair for the world grows in me
and I wake in the night at the least sound
in fear of what my life and my children’s lives may be,
I go and lie down where the wood drake
rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds.
I come into the peace of wild things
who do not tax their lives with forethought
of grief. I come into the presence of still water.
And I feel above me the day-blind stars
waiting with their light. For a time
I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.

Thank you all for your great comments and thank you shesweepsforest for the compliment on the cage and I guess I can sew a lil took me a while to get it the way I wanted it even though I think it could've been better but as my hubby says I am my own worst critic lol.
This spring I started my very first garden of vegetables. Now this obviously was way before my lil buddy came into my life but I was very happy knowing I have veggies to give him that I grew and picked myself pesticide free. Now I want to make absolutely sure that he can have everything I've grown b4 I give it to him. I grew peas, tomatoes, cucumbers, greenbeans, and giant ceaser lettuce. Is there anything in my garden he can't have???
Tomatoes in small amounts - he may or may not like them. Everything else is just fine. You do know that the leaves and vines of tomatoes are slightly toxic? Avoid those.
I usually avoid feeding vegetable leaves and stuff - a surprising number of perfectly healthy things have toxic leaves.
So cute. What a clever idea for his cage. He looks like a very happy little boy!
Hey everyone I have been reading about all these adorable little. Pinkys and I know you all don't know me from anything at all .I have had a lot of personal experience with small animals I used to work at a clinic taking care of all the regular animals for clients and also cared about gave meds to other boarding animals unable to adopt out and 3 or more times we had 3 cranes. I personally had a juvenile grey r chip he was perfect and loved him having his home with me and the a potato peel got him he unfortunately couldn't get it out and it was a sad day. But anyway I have been raising a 10 week old red squirrel and he is just such a funny lil man. So what I'm getting at is I know I'm not licensed( yet) but I am studying everything and very confident I will pass so the reason for this thread is if anyone has to many baby's or Pinkys I have a great deal of supplies so if anyone trusts me enough to care for some I am right here it would be a great pleasure to care for another small one
Ohhh that's a very generous offer....just watch..and maybe talk to an admin (via pm) and give them your exact location and phone number. Babies pop up everywhere and there isn't always someone close by to help ....so thank you for your offer
and you better not pick that cage apart It's spectacular! I believe your hubby is right
