    Default Help! baby won't eat!

Took the little guys to the vet today for a little check up & now my boy is refusing food!! I don't understand, I kept then warm, he ate right after err got home, but it's been 6 hours now & he hasn't eaten again. Giving him FV, usually voracious, but is just completely refusing now. Tried a Henry block, a Cheerio, banana, NOTHING He's about 4 weeks now, thus is ridiculous! Oh, and now he's kind of squeaking at me

WHEW! After considerable dehydration & and all night hourly regimen of syrup water and diluted FV, and 3 rounds of subQ fluids, MY BABY BOY IS FEELING SO MUCH BETTER!!!!
I cannot CONTAIN myself! Thanks so much to Mrs Skul for walking me through every step and caring for all our little critters!! I definitely could not have done it without her!!
So we think he just had a severe case of dehydration due to his sister sucking on him. He got to feeling so bad he just wanted to stay in my shirt, crying out for momma, I felt so bad! But I was granted a special gift this afternoon when he and his sister started jumping around the box playing! Wish I could have gotten a video, and will try my best for the next time! Here are some pics I took a few minutes ago:

    Hi Jennifer
I am so glad the little boy is bouncing back. Make sure you are feeding a 2 part Water to 1 Part FV~32/40
    2 TBS Water
    1 TBS FoxVally 32/40
    1 TBS Heavy Whipping Cream
    1 tsp Full Fat Yogurt.
Be sure to mix the Heavy cream in after you mix the formula well.
If you add it all at once you will just make Butter.

Make sure the little girl is not still sucking on the little boy. Has He started Poohing yet?
I head out to Hospital/Out Patient Surg. again for about 5 hr today. I will be in & out sleeping off the Anesthesia. Call me Early This morning or Late Tonight. To Update me. (Friday/Today)
I will not be on line for at least 2 days unless you need me to look at something. (Send Text and Picture if you need.)
Hang in their Your doing a Wonderful Job.
    PS
Please be careful letting them climb around on you at this Young age.
They are not strong enough to hang on much.

I am being extremely careful when they are on me, not letting them get too far away at all!
After a little backstep yesterday afternoon where he was refusing liquids again, he is now doing TERRIFIC I was able to capture a video of him jumping around his box, freaking hillarious As soon as I get that uploaded I'll post it. Here are some new pictures of them both!

Oh geez, cuteness overload!! We totally need more videos of your precious babies. I am completely in love!

One thing tho, if that's a towel in the cage with the fleece you may want to take it out so they don't get their nails or toes caught in the loops.

This scared the begeezus outta me: http://thesquirrelboard.com/forums/s...ghlight=towels

    First, THANKS!!!! I'm completely smitten!

Second, the questions, 1. Pip (the baby boy) sometimes with lift his head up and kind of arch his back while eating. A friend in town said it was like a diabetic seizure? Maybe he's not getting enough sugar? Is there any truth to this?

    2. Ellie-belle's poop turned green ... she did eat a couple bites of zucchini, and I mean A COUPLE. Normal?

    3. I took this video earlier and I'm glad I did because I don't know if this is just normal playing rough, or aggression. She's done it to me once and chomped down pretty hard on my finger while she was on my husband. Don't know if you can see it, but they are both kicking their back legs kinda like dogs do when marking their territory. Is this the same thing, marking territory?

I cannot believe it's been three weeks already that my little Pip was so sick and about ready to give up. It has taken just about everything my husband and I had to nurse the little guy, not only back to health, but to a THRIVING state! He weighs 44g now!! And is just too funny! He has started to jump from my hands to my chest and from me to my hubby! Holy crap ... I'm just so excited!!!!

    Look at his fluffy tail!

    Hi Crash
Pip & Ellie are Looking Marvelous.
They both look So Healthy, So Grown up. Do you have them to gather yet? Is Ellie still bothering Pip? (Love The 2 of them War Dancing, in the Video you posted.)

Thank you so much for this good news. It's been a couple days of concern and sadness for a few souls on here, so your story is a pick me up.

Lately I've taken an interest in flyers. I don't know why they've not been my first interest because I'm a night person, and I plan to move to Northern Ontario where, apparently, flyers thrive. I really should learn more, especially about the Northern type, which aren't much discussed here. Flyers seem even more people-friendly than the diurnal type. Squirrels just seem so sweet. They don't look to hurt anybody.

I just wonder why they're so common in the North. It's so cold during the winter that I'd figure excess skin would freeze. It's currently 3 degrees F in my prospective forever home. I want to build heated or at least well insulated nest boxes. My backyard will be the Four Seasons for squirrel-kind!

Thanks so much! It really took everything we had & again, THANK YOU for all your help!!!! Ellie loves her blocks, will sit up on her haunches & go to town on them. It takes a little more effort with Pip. He'll generally ignore them, peed on one, & if I hold it in front of him he'll nibble a couple seconds & then just want to play with my fingernails!!
I'm still not comfortable leaving them together unsupervised. All Pip wants to do is chase Ellie around and mount her & do the tug hugging thing. There hasn't been any more war dancing, but whenever they go nose-to-nose & look like they're gonna get into it, I put a stop to it!
