A frequent cause of diarrhea is overfeeding. I think you may have posted info about your squirrel elswhere, but it would help to have that here so our rehabbers can help you figure it out and fix it. Soooo .... a few questions:

    1. How old is he/she?
    2. What are you feeding -- and how much and how often?
    3. If you have just found the baby recently (less than a week), was s/he warmed and rehydrated before formula started?
    4. Did baby have normal (formed) poops prior to this? When did the diarrhea start?

Until we can figure out the cause, don't feed anything except water for the moment. Or, you can use the Homemade hydration fluid (3T sugar, 1 t salt, 1 quart warm water; mix and refrigerate; feed warmed up)

I just looked at your other threads and am now thinking .... this isn't a "baby" baby?? But is your grown squirrel (now maybe about 10 months)??

If so -- whole different set of questions:
    1. Has she had ANYTHING out of the ordinary to eat the last couple of days? Sometimes new things do not agree with them (even if other squirrels eat it w/o problems)
    2. Does she roam unsupervised? Wondering if she could have gotten into anything that you would not consider "food"? Are all cleaning supplies and chemicals strictly out of her range?
    3. When did it start? Color?
    4. Is she active or lethargic? Has she eaten -- when last?

Yeah she is almost i think 8 or 9 months its hard cuz i dont know for sure when she was born -- but she is still my "baby'

She seems to be feeling fine -- she is rambunctious and playfull - and her appetite is fine just her poo (*giggle* ) is a light brown kinda orange - not really runny but around her booty is yucky.. i clean it with baby wipes but this just started

We have just started giving her mango - soy nuts - and odwalla bar pieces

I'd stop all of these items: "We have just started giving her mango - soy nuts - and odwalla bar pieces." If the diarrhea doesn't stop when these clear from her system, I'd try about .25 ccs of Kaopectate. I would check into the healthy squirrel diet posted on this board at: http://thesquirrelboard.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=16093

Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with a little mango, although too much fruit isn't good for them. But any time you introduce a new food, it can cause diarrhea, and this seems to be particularly true of certain foods. Sometimes you can actually tell by the color of the poop: orange poop = mango. It's also best to introduce new foods one at a time, so you can tell what the culprit is.

while we're on the subject of tropical fruits, coconut is a big one for causing diarrhea in squirrels. Just thought I'd tell ya, just in case.
