hello
if anyone has photos of a Persian squirrel I would love to see one. Dumb question, but other than Persia where are these critters found?

hello
and thanks -- what a beautiful puff ball.
i have never seen in person a fox squirrel but they are so fluffy looking. I remember chipmunks from when i was a little kid in New Hampshire, but I think in Florida there are only gray squirrels -- i'm not positive.

Ohhh, you know I want to! But seriously I can not for the life of me get my computer to transfer pics. :( I've no idea what in the world could be wrong with my computer. I have had lots of requests for pictures, and I am so disappointed when I can't. I'm really hoping to get a new one next month and I promise you guys I'll post pictures ASAP. Haven't you guys ever seen a chipmunk!? LOL j/k

The last time I had a chippy in rehab, I had to overwinter him -I was going away for the weekend and told my daughter to take Chippy out and let him play. That was a big mistake. I got a phone call from my daughter an hour later, she was frantic and crying and telling that chippy attacked her and she had locked herself in her room. I had to call a fellow rehabber to go to my house and catch Chippy for me. I told my daughter that she would have to crawl out her bedroom window so she could help my friend. Of course my friend did all the catching. Chippy went temporarly NUTZ! I think it was the angora socks she was wearing. He really was a nice Chippy! Warning, these guys get really territorial with age. I think it was the longest winter I'd ever had. Chippy was happily released in the spring.

It's the god's honest truth. My daughter wouldn't go anywhere near Chippy again after that. And it's not like she was a little kid. She was 18 at the time and always played with Chippy. That was pretty much the end of playing with Chippy.

Nope - we have Sherman Fox Squirrels and Big Cypress Fox Squirrels here in Florida - they like pine, cypress & oak trees, but the greys chase them out of most areas, so you'd be more likely to spot them in a pine tree or cypress. Also, most golf courses seem to have a population of them. :)

LOL I've had my chipmunk get out into the house a couple times! Usually I only let him out in the bedroom. Thanks for sharing that with us Nutz4squirlz
