Okay every1 I know this is alot 2 ask but I need atleast 2 preferrably 3 nesting boxes.. I was going to build mine 2 day but found out our one and only saw has bit the dust!!! If any1 lives near Livingston, tx and could build them 4 me I will supply the wood and pay you (cant afford 2 much but give me a price). Otherwise if any1 has boxes they arent using I can buy them from u. I found cedar boxes at lowes but heard cedar wasnt good 4 squirrels plus these seem really small. Anything is Greatly appreciated! Thanx

I got my Nest Box from Ebay for $19.99 - it is BIG and well made.

This is one of the nest boxes my NRBF makes for our squirrels. They live in them while they are here and then we bring them to the release site. He tells me they cost us about $18 in materials, and it takes him about 2.5 hours to make one. In the living room. With sawdust.....lotsa sawdust....:shakehead :D.....

The 'portico' that sticks out over the entrance has two purposes: indoors it sticks thru one of the openings in the cage (we take a door off) so the box is outside the cage and doesn't take up so much room. Once we move the boxes outdoors, the portico keeps predators like raccoons from reaching their arms in. The slanted lid in the back is hinged and opens up for cleaning, but can be held shut by a loop and wire.

My I suggest purchasing a hand saw?? :D They run about $10.00 and do the job nicely and you get in a good shoulder work out, too. :rotfl
