What was your absolute favorite squirrel memory? I'm talking about stories, cute moments, just wanna start to hear form you guys!Impossible to come up with "one" favorite but this one will always stick with me. We had two flyers, Bonnie and Chipper. Chipper was the male. They had separate homes but every once in awhile they would get together for a week or so. hehe... Anyhow, Chipper lived in a cupboard in the bathroom and Bonnie in the closet. Chipper would get access to our bedroom through a 3" PVC pipe that I ran through the wall, making a tunnel that ran from Chipper's cupboard into our bedroom. There was a platform mounted to the wall where the PVC entered our bedroom so that when he came out the tube, he would have someplace to sit and not fall to the floor. (which was about 6' down) The platform was great for launching, if you know anything about flyers.

Sometimes we just didn't want the two of them together so I put a "threaded" cap on the end of the tube. This allowed me to screw a 3" cap onto the pvc pipe, keeping one squirrel in and the other out. But Bonnie would put up with none of that, and she would work on the cap until she managed to "unscrew" it from the pvc pipe.

My favorite memory is watching her work on that pvc cap, finally getting it removed. Chipper would be waiting on the other side when the lid slid away. Then she would give me a defiant look and the two of the scampered off to the cupboard. Good times...

My Grey Squirrel Poptart (rip) loved paper money. She could tell the difference between a dollar bill folded up and a regular piece of paper folded exactly the same. I would put a dollar and regular paper sticking out of my purse and she would always pick the dollar. Well one day my husband made the mistake of leaving his wallet on the bed and Poppy was playing in our room. When he walked in, he caught her with his wallet and his money strewn all over the bed. We recovered all except a $100.00 dollar bill. To this day, 18 months later, we still haven't found where she hid it.
