Are dates OK for flying squirrels?

My dad just gave me a huge bag of dates from his date palms for Peanut and Suzy Q (ground squirrels) but I was wondering if it is OK to feed them to my flyers? Thanks!

lol thats funny. I think Dates are ok I have given them to my flyers and grey squirrels I want to say they did nibble off of them.
