I live in Northern Minnesota and had 2 of them in to feast on sunflower seeds, but I haven't seen them for 2 nights, do you think they are shy, or is this way too early for them to come and eat? I never knew they existed and now I am worried that they are not eating.

could they possibly have found food elsewhere? i imagine those two are northern flyers and mine is a southern flyer. it's all in the accents. :D
did anything happen to startle them while they were eating? is there a cat or dog in the vicinity?

We have southern flyers also in our yard. They come at various times and sometimes they may skip a night all together. Ours are definitely NOT shy, we can almost walk up and touch them. I think they believe because it is dark we can't see them :D Just check at different times I am sure they are there most of the nights. Beautiful creatures to watch glide in, I could sit there all night and sometimes do :crazy
