Yeah, I didn't have Mima for very long and I wish so much I'd taken more pictures of her. I just never thought I'd lose her so soon, I thought I would have her for a long time.

Strider, they are all gorgeous, and very healthy. How old is Skyler, looks young? Do they run loose in the house or have their own bedroom :)

You wouldnt believe what we had to do to get him in the stocking!!!Probably put an acorn in it. :D That would have done it for mine.
But I have to say Strider, that is one awesome picture. Top quality. :thumbsup

Those are actually the first pictures I've seen of Southern Flying Squirrels. The stocking one was my favorite, but all of your babies are cuties.

I bought Sian as a mate for my male southern flyer Zander. He lost his mate back in February and was so sad without her that I thought I should get him another female to keep him company and to help him not miss his first mate so much. This little girl came in so tiny and emaciated (she weighed 26 grams) that I think she couldnt have been much over four and a half weeks old. She had some trouble in the beginning but is now slightly chubby and active like she should be. Zander doesnt seem to care about her one way or the other but she on the other hand adores him and follows him around doing whatever he is doing. She is the wildest squirrel I have ever worked with in spite of the fact that I formula fed her from such a young age and work with her every day. She is terrified of me and would really prefer that I just let her live with Zander and not ever mess with her again. I continue to try taming her daily and hope one day she will figure out that I am not going to do anything bad to her. I rehab and she is still the wildest squirrel I have ever had!!! She is a teen ager now and kind of at gawky stage but I can allready see she is going to be a pretty little girl soon. Well that is the story of Sian. I am attaching a picure of Zander and Sian together so you can see how tiny she is even now in comparison to Zander who is the biggest southern flyer I have ever seen.

Zander is a big ol boy. :) And Sian is such a pretty little flyer. But your right, he doesn't appear to care one way or the other. I'm thinking that will change later though.
When Chipper was about 7 we got him a little (girl) friend too. He was the same way, didn't care one way or the other. She on the other hand would do everything possible to be with him. Personally, I think he was just playing hard to get. :)

I just weighed them and Zander weighs 144 grams(yes he is a bit chubby) Sian weighs 50 grams so she has doubled her shipping weight in five weeks. Zander is almost three times her size according to weight. He needs a good Jenny Craig program! lol

Are they sitting on the house that came with Sian when they shipped her? It looks like she could get in but I'm thinking that Zander isn't going to make it through the door. :)

Sian was shipped in a little see thru carrier inside of a small airline approved animal crate with lots of padding and a heat pac. Helens Little Critters does a wonderful job with the packing and shipping. The nestbox is made for parakeets and no Zander couldnt get more than his head in the entrance. Luckily he doesnt try or I would be afraid he might get stuck. Its good though just in case Sian needs to get away from him as she doesnt have any trouble getting in and out of it.

Your in FL maybe you can have one of mine if they keep having babies. I am not sure if we are keeping our first litter. I ask Mike are we keeping them or finding them new homes. The response I get is..... I can't rid of the babies. However we don't need NO MORE PETS....But they are so cute. I tell him yes but you never answered the question. Keep or find homes? He looks at me and walks away.
I can't get a straight answer.:dono LOL
