Hmm..One time I read that if you give your squirrel lots of his favorite nuts and seeds he'll become spoiled and not want to eat fruits and vegetables anymore. Do you think that could be the problem?

Squirrels, like people, are going to have different likes and dislikes. I like spinach, my wife won't touch it. So I would be to concerned if skyler doesn't like all the same fruits and veg's that your others do. What kind of fruit are you giving him that he doesn't like? I've had good luck with apples, oranges, grapes (sliced in quarters), corn (on the cob), and Broccoli. (leave the skin on the apples and oranges.)

There is a lot of truth to this. Flying squirrels will turn their noses up at anything if you give them a steady diet of pecans. Pecans should be a treat and not a main staple.

i have to admit i do tend to give skyler and baby bird a piece of some type of nut practicaly every night. have never tried vegatables with any of my flyers but have tried many diffrent types of fruits (pomagranets, kiwi, ect) with good results. i guess ill limit the nuts down and try more fruit and some vegies.....what type of vegies do they really seem to go for?

I'm just saying that you don't want to limit their diet to only nuts and pecans. Pecans make great treats, rewards if you will.

Aside from the vegetables I already mentioned, I've had good luck with tomatoes. Yep, believe it or not, tomatoes. Give them a small wedge of tomato and see if they like it. I was also told by a Flying Squirrel Vet that tomatoes are good for their kidneys too.
