Hey Muffin, we haven't had an update or any pictures of your Northern Flyers that your son in law picked up for you :dono How are things going, we need pix :nono you promised

OK - guilty as charged! And I STILL don't have any pictures! I'm sorry I have been so long about this - will it explain things if I tell you that I have five rescue baby greys and eight (yes, eight!) baby flyers right now? I am thinking about having surgery to have one of my fingers replaced with a syringe - might make life a little easier. Could have a tube attached that went directly to a continuous supply of Esbilac. Really, though, I don't know what I would do if DH didn't love the greys so much - he takes over a lot of the feeding - says the flyers are too small, though.

The jury is still out on whether these are Northern or Southern flyers. The two are so similar anyhow, and these don't show many of the few characteristics that differentiate the two. Northerns are supposed to be very 'laid back' flyers, whereas the southerns are close kin to greased lightening. But these two yankee babies are like southerns on speed! They are never still, and they only move at a dead run - no casual strolls for them! On the other hand, they spend a lot more time on the floor than the southerns do. Guess I'll just have to wait and see how they develop as they mature.

I really will get pictures posted one of these days. I am hoping that when everyone gets a little older and the feedings cut back some, I might manage to find time to look around and see where my camera is. But right now all I do is feed squirrels and sleep (and very little sleep!). If I do manage a little free time, it's spent playing with my grown flyers - Scamper always gets so mad when I have babies to feed, because he's used to being out with me every night.

I do manage to get on the board everyday and see what's happening - seems to be quite lively around here lately. Just wish I had more time to get involved in it all!

Thanks Muffin, I was just a little concerned something bad might have happened. Glad to hear it is just you are over whelmed with babies :D good thing you have a hubby that loves squirrels and will help out, not all of them would. I am lucky too that Squerly would do anything for the squirrels, inside or out or any animal for that matter. When you get time we will be looking forward to seeing the pictures of all the squirrels, but especially the flyers :crazy
