Baby Squirrels
Information
In your search
for information
on how to feed a
baby squirrel,
you may have
come across some
website(s) that
tell you that a
"scalded cow's
milk" formula is
the answer to
your prayers.
However, it is
exactly the
opposite. In
most cases, it
will damage or
kill the
squirrel.

PLEASE DO NOT
FEED THE
SQUIRREL COW'S
MILK -- SCALDED
OR ANY OTHER
WAY!!
It will cause
most squirrel
babies to sicken
from diarrhea,
and then die. It
is NOT USED by
the vast
majority of
licensed
rehabilitators,
wildlife centers
or wildlife
veterinarians.
The individual
who promotes
this unhealthy,
unscientific
"scalded milk"
formula has been
stripped of her
license to rehab
wildlife and has
had squirrels
removed from her
premises. Like
most zealots,
she is very
convincing, AND
SHE IS
VERY WRONG.
There are
excellent milk
replacement
formula
available
and we invite
you to join The
Squrrel Board
for more
information!
Please don't add
your squirrel to
the list of
damaged and/or
dead babies who
were fed scalded
milk!
The links below hope
to provide
information
needed when
caring for, or
providing first
aid for a baby
squirrel. These
links will
provide you with
well prepared
work sheets
posted by
generous members
or other
squirrel lovers.
